Through the years the Industrial Painting Division has become an industry leader in institutional, maintenance, and industrial painting operations. We have a long track record of success based on commitment to provide customers with the highest quality workmanship. We understand the special preparation and coating needs of each industrial customer and are dedicated to analyzing and solving corrosion problems.
We proudly employ certified journeyman painters and registered apprentice painters who are fully qualified in all methods of painting. We have a strong commitment to ongoing education in painting techniques as well as environmental and workplace safety issues. We are expert in all application methods including brush, roller, airless spray, plural component spray and conventional spray. The following is a partial list of our expertise:
- surface preparation (abrasive blast cleaning & pressure washing)
- tank coatings and linings
- metalizing
- waterproofing and sealing
- application of multicolor, textured finishes
- graffiti protection systems
The craftsmanship of Carlson has graced landmarks such as the, Limestone Generating Station, Atomic Energy of Canada's plant in Pinawa, and the Forks Historic Railway Bridge. More recently the company has completed such projects as the Inn at the Forks, St. Boniface Museum, Restoration of the new CTV Building, Carlton Inn, the North Perimeter Bridge, Limestone Generating Station, Grand Rapids Generating Station, Brandon Generating Station, Fort Garry Bridge, Lockport Bridge and Smith Carter's Office Building to name a few.
We are fully bonded, carry liability insurance and all employees are covered by workers compensation.
Our facility has on site abrasive blasting and a large paint booth to handle all painting needs. Carlson also is equipped for mobile abrasive blasting. We have a 20,000 lb fork lift and overhead bridge cranes to unload and move items within our yard.
